In 5th Class we have been learning all about World War 1 and today we took a trip to the WW1 museum in Ballyjamesduff, County Cavan. We had a wonderful day and took a stroll through replica trenches with realistic props and sound effects. We got learned about the War in great detail thanks to our wonderful guide, Katherine, and got to try on soldiers uniforms and helmets, an also hold some decommissioned weapons. We also got taken on a guided tour through a model building of the GPO and learned a little bit about the events of 1916. We thoroughly enjoyed our day.
