To celebrate reaching the end of January the Student’s Council proposed to Mr.Beehan that all children could bring in their own board games to play with their friends. Children on the council explained to Mr.Beehan that they believed this initiative would encourage children to talk and listen to each other, share, take turns and form new friendships. The Mr. Beehan consulted the staff and everyone agreed it was a wonderful idea! The staff felt the children had worked very hard and made a great start to the new year!
All work stopped at lunch time on Thursday 1st and the fun began!!! St.Colman’s first ever Board Games Afternoon was a HUGE SUCCESS! Thanks to the Student’s Council for yet another fantastic initiative.
The Council propose to hold the next games afternoon to celebrate St.Patrick’s Day!!!
