As tradition in St. Colman’s, the Students’ Council are proudly running the annual Food Appeal in aid of St. Vincent de Paul. The children of St. Colman’s deeply value the importance of children helping children, and the Students’ Council are delighted to promote and encourage families and pupils to take part in donating food to support those in our local community.
To raise awareness, the Council designed posters and visited classrooms, explaining to the children what the Food Appeal is, why it matters, and how their donations can make a real difference.
This appeal is an important part of who we are as a school—coming together, showing kindness, and helping others during a time of year when many families need extra support. The Students’ Council would like to sincerely thank all the families and children who have donated so far, and they look forward to continuing this meaningful tradition in St. Colman’s.
