Aladdin Show We are delighted to announce that our two 6th classes will be performing the hit musical 'Aladdin' in Mullingar Arts Centre on the 26th and 27th of February. This is a fantastic family night out, not to be missed. Our 6th classes will be supported by our fabulous school choir each night. Tickets are available from the school office and can be paid for with cash or via our Aladdin system at a cost of €10 per adult and €6 per child. [Open Image]

Orienteering in Mullingar Park

Today we took part in an orienteering session with Westmeath Sports Partnership. We completed 3 activities. The first one was called the maze. In pairs, we read a map that had a number of controls marked on it. We wore a dipper on our finger and ran through the maze to register our dipper at each control as fast as we could. Kevin then checked our dipper. This gave us our time for the event and if we had checked all of the controls correctly and in the right order. The next 2 activities were orienteering tasks throughout the park, first with a map and punchers and lastly with a map and dippers.
Orienteering helps with map reading, listening, quick thinking, team work and running. We had a fantastic day and really enjoyed it!
