Today, 4th Class went to the visit the Lidl Fork to Farm Experience in Newbridge. We saw lots of fruit and vegetables growing in polytunnels and even got to taste some parsley. We learned how the bees help to pollinate strawberries and all about photosynthesis too. We met some sheep and calves along the way. At the end of our tour, we boarded the Lidl train. Prepared with our pencils and shopping list we headed off to ride through the distribution centre to see if we could see all the items on our shopping list. We even got a sneak peek at some of the items that will be in the middle aisle in the next few weeks!
Finally, when we were leaving we got a goodie bag with some fruit, treats and a packet of seeds so that we can grow our own fruit and vegetables at home.
